Line & Heavy Maintenance (Rotary) Location: Aberdeen, UK Shift Patterns: 4on / 4off / 6on / 4off / 4on / 6off (11-hour shifts) Alternative 7/7 or 14/14 patterns may be considered Arden White Aerospace & Aviation Recruitment are proud to be supporting a leading UK rotary aviation operator as they continue to strengthen their permanent engineering team in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineers seeking long-term stability, strong benefits, and progression within a well-established and growing organisation. Overview This position supports a modern rotary fleet across both Line and Heavy Maintenance environments. Engineers with existing type experience are highly desirable; however, permanent engineers without type may be considered, with structured type-rating support available within the first 12 months. Key Responsibilities Carry out and certify aircraft maintenance across line and heavy maintenance activities, including inspections, defect rectification, and modifications. Exercise certification privileges in accordance with company authorisations and UK CAA regulations. Ensure full compliance with airworthiness, safety, and quality standards. Report and escalate any safety, quality, or compliance concerns relating to tooling, materials, personnel, or facilities. Work closely with Shift Supervisors and the wider engineering team to meet operational requirements. Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Essential UK CAA B1.3 Licence (A Licence may be considered for junior entry-level roles). Right to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship available). Hands-on helicopter maintenance experience. Desirable Type experience on AW189, AW139, or S92. Exposure to rotary line and/or heavy maintenance environments. Skills & Attributes Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within a close-knit engineering team. Clear and confident communicator. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Professional, reliable, and committed to high engineering standards. Good IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems.
