This reputation is built on high technical standards, a strong safety culture, and a highly skilled, professional pilot community. The airline continues to position itself as a global leader in air cargo through disciplined operations and consistent performance. Cargolux operates a fleet of 14 Boeing 747-8F and 16 Boeing 747-400F aircraft. It was the world’s first operator of the 747-400F and the launch customer for the 747-8F, early and clear evidence of its pioneering role in air cargo. The same mindset continues to shape its future fleet and operations. To secure long-term sustainability, Cargolux has ordered 10 Boeing 777-8F aircraft, with options for six additional airplanes. The global network covers more than 70 destinations on scheduled cargo services, complemented by full and part-charter operations. With over 85 offices in more than 50 countries and an extensive global trucking network serving more than 250 destinations, Cargolux operates one of the most comprehensive cargo logistics systems worldwide. Cargolux continues to strengthen its operational backbone through vertical integration at its Luxembourg hub. With LUX Cargo Handling, the airline has brought ground handling fully in-house, allowing closer coordination between flight operations, cargo handling, and network planning. Cargolux Maintenance is an integral part of the operation, providing in-house maintenance expertise for the 747-400F and 747-8F fleets. This ensures consistently high technical standards, operational flexibility, and close cooperation between flight crews and maintenance teams—an essential factor in demanding long-haul cargo operations. As a Cargolux pilot, you are part of an international, highly experienced team where professionalism and performance are expected every day. The mix of scheduled and charter operations provides variety and continuous development opportunities across the network. Cargolux pilots represent the airline worldwide and are expected to uphold its operational and professional standards at all times.
