About the role

Company Brookfield Aviation is helping a leading European aviation maintenance organisation seeking a group of experienced Licensed Engine Mechanics to join its specialised Engine Services division in Amsterdam, working within a modern engine shop environment supporting both internal and international airline customers. Our client is a major European aviation maintenance provider specialising in aircraft engine maintenance, overhaul and repair. Position This position is based in a dedicated engine maintenance and overhaul facility equipped with advanced tooling, digital workstations, and highly skilled specialists. The successful candidate will perform detailed inspection, repair, overhaul, certification and testing of aircraft engines and components, operating within a safety-critical and quality-driven environment. The role is well suited to mechanics who enjoy hands-on engine work, technical depth, and mentoring junior colleagues. Key Responsibilities Assess the condition of incoming engines and modules. Disassemble engines and inspect components in accordance with approved procedures. Identify required repairs, replacements and materials. Coordinate with technical specialists when required. Oversee repairs and ensure compliance with engine and module specifications. Prepare engines and components for shipment following maintenance. Perform engine testing and identify internal defects or anomalies. Carry out administrative and technical documentation tasks. Follow all safety procedures and technical standards. Supervise, guide and mentor junior engine mechanics. Work across multiple engine types within the engine shop. Operate on a rotating shift pattern (one weekday shift, one week evening shift). Engine Types Supported Experience is required on one or more of the following engine types: CFM56-7B. CF6. GEnx. LEAP. Requirements Valid authorisation to perform and certify maintenance on aircraft engines. Ability to work independently and sign off completed work. Minimum 3 years’ experience as an engine mechanic. Strong technical English, written and spoken. Proven experience on modern commercial aircraft engines. High attention to quality, precision and safety. Ability to supervise and mentor junior colleagues. Candidates must hold an EU passport or the right to work in the Netherlands.
