As an Aircraft Engineer , you will be responsible for performing and certifying maintenance activities in line with Etihad’s authorization policy. Key Responsibilities Certify own work and the work of others after verifying that tasks have been performed in accordance with approved data and within the scope of authorization. Ensure all materials, parts, tools, equipment, and documentation are prepared at the start of each shift. Maintain a clean and hazard-free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD). Provide guidance and assistance to Technicians to ensure safe and effective working practices. Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, serviceable, and safe condition. Demonstrate a professional approach when interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers. Participate in training and development to enhance technical capability and professional contribution. Adhere to company health, safety, and corporate image standards at all times. Conduct inspections as required on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and complete relevant checklists. Perform daily inspections of company vehicles prior to use and complete the Vehicle Maintenance Inspection form. Ensure all work performed under Etihad’s processes and procedures is completed safely and in line with quality standards. Actively follow and promote the procedures outlined in the Safety & Quality Management Manual (SQMM). Encourage a culture of safety and positive reporting across the team. Education & Experience High School Leaving Certificate / Diploma / University or College Degree. Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part-66 / ICAO Type convertible to GCAA). Minimum of 2 to 3 years of certifying experience on at least two of Etihad aircraft type ratings (Level 3) — Boeing 777 / 787 or Airbus 320 / 350 / 380 — with valid company authorization. Minimum of 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience , including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a Line or Base/Light Maintenance environment. Continuing Airworthiness Manager
Context London’s Air Ambulance Charity provides a world-class HEMS service to London. Operating EC135 T3H aircraft we deliver pre-hospital care to those who need it most, operating until sunset every day over one of the world’s largest, most diverse and complex cities from the helipad at The Royal London Hospital. This is a rare opportunity to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) team, as the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM). This role fulfils the company’s obligation to ensure the continuing airworthiness of our two EC135 T3H aircraft. The role requires a skilled and experienced aviation professional with the necessary training, knowledge and attitude to provide the management of the airworthiness of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s aircraft, working alongside the Accountable Manager (AM), Chief Pilot, Safety and Compliance Manager and other nominated persons including operational, clinical and charity staff. The role requires oversight of and close working with our contracted Pt 145 maintenance provider and sub-contracted CAMO activities. We’re open to this role being held by a contractor or a charity employee: we want the right person to join the team. It’s expected that the role will require the equivalent of two days a week, however, the ability and willingness to work flexibly around aircraft and clinical operational requirements is essential. This is considered a hybrid-working role conducted between home, The Royal London Hospital helipad and RAF Northolt where the aircraft are hangered overnight and some maintenance activity takes place. You’ll be required to travel to visit services providers such as Airbus UK (our contracted maintenance provider) and from time to time the Civil Aviation Authority offices, London’s Air Ambulance Charity offices and various sites to undertake training. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an active interest in the overall activities of London’s Air Ambulance Charity and be able to reflect our values in all interactions with our stakeholders. About the role The CAM reports directly to the AM and is responsible for the continued airworthiness of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopter fleet as defined in the Approved Maintenance Programme. In addition, they’re responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and airworthiness activity is conducted in accordance with the applicable regulations and the requirements of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition. This will require working in close collaboration with colleagues across the charity, members of the aviation teams, safety and compliance, non-aviation and clinical sectors of the charity to support and enable the delivery of the charity’s life-saving service. About the person We’re looking for a person with good working knowledge of UK commercial aviation regulations and knowledge and experience of regulatory oversight of CAA Part-CAMO, Part CAT, SPO HEMS and Part-145. The candidate will have experience in rotary/commercial or a similar organisation and can work within a multidisciplinary team with high levels of accountability.
