34th German Championship in Ultralight Flying 2026 August 20-23, 2026 – Böhlen Airfield (EDOE) From August 20-23, 2026, the 34th German Championship in Ultralight Flying (UL-DM) will take place at Böhlen Airfield (EDOE). The Federal Commission for Ultralight Aviation in the DAeC is organizing the competition together with the German Ultralight Flying Association (DULV) and the Böhlen Flying Club. The championship has been deliberately moved to August this year to take advantage of more stable weather conditions and to create the fairest possible competitive conditions, particularly for trike and open UL classes. Safety-Oriented Competition The German Championship in Ultralight Flying pursues, alongside sporting competition, the explicit goal of promoting safety awareness and flying precision among all participants. It is regarded as one of the best safety training programs within general aviation. Sporting success should not be defined solely by placements, but by the understanding that the "best pilot" is simultaneously the safest and most responsible pilot.
