/ Position: Training Manager / Location: Bournemouth OR Gloucester / Working Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours per week Gama Aviation are recruiting for an experienced MRO Training Manager, based at our modern base facility in Bournemouth. As the Training Manager you will adhere and uphold 1321/2014 regulations and be able to hold a nominated Form 4 position for Gama Aviation Part 147 Training School. You will be responsible for planning, organising, leading and supervising the Technical Training Department staff, whilst ensuring that training targets are met and maintained in accordance with CAA/EASA Part-147 requirements and business need to meet current legislation. To manage the day to day running of the Training Department Staff, Programmes and Resources. Carry out the duties of an aircraft technical training instructor and be qualified on type and within the companies EASA Part-147 approval. To produce and update all student training notes and presentations for the Aircraft types. Responsible for the evaluation of technical training programmes to ensure they achieve organisational objectives and remain cost effective to deliver. To carry out the annual training planning meeting and produce a training programme for the forthcoming year. To carry out the duties and responsibilities of a Part 147 Approved Examiner. To produce monthly KPI and progress reports as required by the business. To maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to technical training and disseminate any new requirements appropriately to colleagues. Focus to continuously improve and develop training material, through awareness of new training advancements, technologies, best practice and changes within training and learning environments which could be applied within Gama Aviation. Operational Delivery – Maintenance Support Ensure material availability for planned checks, targeting zero material‑related delays. Align procurement and demand forecasting with planned maintenance workloads. Proactively manage inventory and procurement to optimise cash flow, material availability, and customer satisfaction. Digital, Data & Continuous Improvement Drive ERP optimisation and digital procurement tool adoption. Maintain dashboards covering inventory, shortages, repairs, supplier performance, and spend. Lead CI initiatives using root‑cause analysis, Lean tools, and structured pilot trials. Identify, test, and implement innovative tools, automation, and emerging technologies. Candidate Requirements Essential Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, materials, or procurement leadership roles, ideally within the aviation, aerospace, or MRO sector. Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams across materials, procurement, stores, and logistics. Demonstrated track record of delivering material availability, on-time operational support, and cost optimisation in a high‑pressure environment. Strong knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements relating to materials, storage, documentation, traceability, and certification. Hands‑on experience in ERP systems, digital procurement tools, and data‑driven operational management. Significant experience with commercial negotiation, contracts, RFPs, supplier management, and freight/logistics agreements. Experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean methodologies, and process optimisation initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, suppliers, and customers.
