Aircraft Fuel Systems Technician (Tornado) Dhahran, Saudi Arabia RSAF Tornado Programme Contract Opportunity 3-month rolling contract £280 per Day Ltd Rate includes shared accommodation Includes flights to/from the UK (job/visa related travel) Start Date: ASAP (deployment may take up to 5 months) Hours: Full-time (Sunday–Thursday, 48 hours per week) Work on One of the World's Largest Operational Tornado Fleets Morson Edge is currently recruiting experienced Fuel Systems Maintenance Technicians to support a major RSAF Tornado maintenance programme in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity for aircraft fuel systems specialists to join a highly experienced maintenance organisation supporting operational military aircraft within a professional and highly regulated aviation environment. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will carry out aircraft and component-level fuel system maintenance activities, supporting aircraft availability, operational readiness, and airworthiness across a major military aviation programme. Whether your background is fast jet, military aviation, rotary wing, transport aircraft, or complex aircraft maintenance, this role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise within a large-scale operational aviation environment. The Role Reporting to the Fuel Systems Supervisor, you will carry out aircraft and component fuel system maintenance activities in accordance with approved Technical Orders, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will support maintenance activities across the Tornado fleet, carrying out inspections, repairs, modifications, testing, fault diagnosis, and component maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship. The role requires a sound understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and the ability to operate effectively within a structured military aviation environment supporting operational aircraft availability. Key Responsibilities Aircraft & Component Fuel System Maintenance Carry out fuel system maintenance activities in accordance with approved Technical Orders Perform on-aircraft maintenance including installation, repair, modification, and testing of fuel systems Undertake component maintenance including inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and functional testing Ensure compliance with Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) procedures Maintain strict tool control and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention standards Manage spare parts requirements through the Gold ESP logistics system Carry out Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and special inspections as required Support aircraft serviceability and operational readiness Interface with engineering and support departments to resolve technical issues Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and aircraft records Training & Development Maintain valid and current authorisations relevant to assigned tasks Support training activities and provide technical guidance where required Assist with the development of trainee technicians Proactively identify training requirements for self and others Quality & Safety Maintain compliance with technical publications and approved maintenance procedures Support FOD prevention and housekeeping standards Adhere to all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety requirements Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and on time Support compliance audits and risk mitigation activities Essential Qualifications & Experience Completion of a recognised aircraft maintenance apprenticeship or ONC supported by relevant military training Minimum 5 years' experience within an operational aircraft maintenance environment (or 3 years on type) Experience in aircraft fuel systems or aircraft systems maintenance Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and technical publications Experience working within military or commercial aviation maintenance environments Human Factors (HF) trained Working On Military Equipment (WOME) trained Current driving licence Desirable Experience Tornado aircraft experience Fast Jet maintenance experience Military aviation experience Experience supporting aircraft servicing, inspections, modifications, and maintenance activities Familiarity with RSAF technical documentation and procedures Experience working within regulated maintenance organisations Essential Skills Strong aircraft fuel systems maintenance knowledge Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical publications Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively within a multinational workforce High standards of workmanship and attention to detail Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality Why This Programme?
